Expanding Promise: University of Bridgeport and Mitchell College join forces to support New Haven Promise Scholars with institutional aid
University of Bridgeport and Mitchell College have announced new partnerships with New Haven Promise, expanding financial support for Promise Scholars enrolling at their institutions after high school graduation. University of Bridgeport will offer a $25,000 renewable scholarship to Promise Scholars, easing the financial burden and supporting students from enrollment through graduation. Mitchell College will provide $19,000 annually, plus on-campus employment opportunities, while Scholars live on campus and participate in community outreach. Promise alumnus Joshua Zuniga (Sound ’20, QU ’24) was featured by Yale New Haven Health.
