Promise Community United at Fair Haven Snowball
Students, parents, city and state leaders, and university representatives came together at Fair Haven School for its 16th annual Snowball event—a celebration of college and career through music and dance, and an opportunity to learn New Haven Promise from an early age. This year’s featured speaker, Elisha Correa, first appeared in a 2014 Snowball video as a second grader, expressing her dream of attending Central Connecticut. Eleven years later, she returned to her alma mater, now as a high-achieving CCSU freshman, bringing her journey full circle.

Internship Fair Kicks Off Promise’s Hiring Season
New Haven Promise’s 12th annual Internship, Job & Career Fair brought together 200 Scholars and college graduates with 60 hiring agencies from across the Greater New Haven region. The event highlighted the city’s homegrown talent while providing a vital pathway to paid internships and career opportunities in fields such as STEM, business, arts, and education. Promise believes that economic development comes from investing in people—not just in bricks and mortar.
