From virtual Lunch & Learns to in-person workshops, the Professional Development Series equips Promise scholars with the skills and knowledge to gain a competitive edge in the job market.

In today’s job market, the demand for professionally developed students is on the rise. According to Forbes, less than half of employers feel confident in the professionalism of college graduates. To stand out and make a lasting impact, students must take every opportunity to develop and refine their professional and interpersonal skills to complement their technical knowledge.

Below are examples of professional development sessions hosted by Promise for eligible students. Scholars who secured internships through Promise’s career program are required to attend a number of these sessions.
